Collection: Maine
100% American-made Maine State flags
On March 15, 1820 Maine became the 23rd United State. Maine is the largest and Northeastern-most state of the New England region. Maine’s diversified landscape and coastline allow it to be the leading producer of both lobster and blueberries in the United States.
The State Flag of Maine features the state coat of arms in the center of a blue, rectangular color field. Unlike most US State Flags, there is no set color scheme for the Maine coat of arms as it is depicted on the flag, so there are several variations depending on the flag manufacturer. The blue color field, however, must match the blue in the American Flag. According to the official flag description, the flag should be fringed with yellow silk and a blue and white cord should be attached at the spearhead. These embellishments, however, are rarely acknowledged.
