100% American-made Vermont State flags
On March 4, 1791 Vermont was admitted to the Union as the 14th United State. Vermont was the first state to be admitted to the Union after the initial thirteen states. Vermont is one of the six Northeastern states that make up New England. It is the second smallest state by population and the sixth smallest state by area.
Today, the “Green Mountain State” is America’s number one producer of Maple syrup and the Mountains in Vermont have become a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding.
Adopted in 1923, the Vermont State Flag consists of the states coat of arms and state motto centered on a blue color field. Originally, the Vermont State Flag was the same as the Flag of the Green Mountain Boys but was changed to look more like the United States Flag, with red and white stripes and a blue canton. However, it was soon changed again to avoid confusion.
